Did anybody saw this important video of Joe Zolper

My story, well only just a glimpse.
My youngest daughter was born in 1975. She worked after school and Sat. at the local small town DQ (Dairy Queen, yes still in business). She turned 16 and bought her own first car, her $$, SHE found it with a second engine, an old Lebaron Vert. She paid for it, paid the gas, and took it to a mechanic buddy when it broke down ( often). It had 375,000 showning when it finally gave up the ghost and her mother sold it to a family friend as a "collectable"! He later "offerred" it to me for a $R1000 Just wanted hios $ back! ha! :BangHead:

Fast forward. Her son, oldest grandchild born in 2001 worked in HS for a week or two till it interferred with football practice. Lasty of that. He started college 150 miles from home, needs something to drive. I had picked up a late 80s 1/2 ton Dodge pickup with a slant and 4 spped OD. All it needed was replace the slave cylinder. $1000 bought it. Good running/driving old truck. I "give" it to him, he lived 6 hours away, but he turns it down, would not be cool and gets "bad" mileage. Daughter gives him her daily a throw away foreign jelly bean car. She bums a ride to work I find out later. One month later, it fries the trans and not cost effect to fix it. BUT, I had already "sold" the pickup to a car buddy that hiss old dad really wanted the truck. $600. All he could really afford. He was so happy he cried. So "the kid" is on foot! He gets a spot (scholarship) on that college football team as a walk one, kicker. He does graduate with a degree in petroleum engineering, student debt, gets a job with an oil co. for a few years, now does day trading and getting married next month.

Not sure what old car he drives today! I give a chit????? Dunno. But a good kid. Best of luck!!! I do know he could care ;less about a "classic" car.
