Your's looks good the way it is now, nice pattern.

Final test is to put it in the car, fill with gear lube and friction modifier additive then take it out and drive it around the block.

The heat test, feeling it by hand will tell you a lot.

If you feel the housing is warm to touch you are probably good to go. If you feel the housing is "Hot" then the gears are too tight.

It is said a 500 mile break in is good, and then change the fluid again. (Easier said than done with the 8 3/4)

Driving figure 8s in a large shopping mall parking lot is good for breaking in the Sure-Grip Clutches too.
