If your heads are 79 models also, look to see if there are little bleed holes under each exhaust port. If they are there, they will need to be tapped and a little pipe plug screwed into them so you don't have an exhaust leak with the earlier manifolds.

Yup, they are 79 heads. They have the little bleed holes so I will have to drill and tap them. Then put a plug in them. This is quickly becoming a huge PITA. If I did not have the heads redone, I would probably start looking an older set. Thank you so much for the info, I am a body and fab guy, not an engine builder! But I try awful hard.
