You may find that with a tighter converter, loading it more could help it launch. Just off idle and it gets a big run on the converter and might flash higher. I’m currently launching at lower rpm trying to do just that. I can use a bit more flash 3500 rpm now with it loaded pretty good. So I have been launching just off idle to get a run on it. I don’t want to change the converter because at some point I will be making more power. Load it and roll in, let the loading move the car and then roll in. ALMOST wait for the nose to just start to drop. Hard to describe.
With certainly some more test and tune in, I could get things more precise on the launch and even shift points. Shoot, I even gotta work on where it works the best in timing.
