What to do with my Scamp?

Your time, your money.
We all know an engine swap also should go along with a trans and rear, along with the linkage.
For me, a street car will also need front sway bar. More time and money.
I'd use your limited time and money to find out why oil pressure is low.
A couple people asked about the details on the oil pressure. If there is a correlation with increasing engine temperature or not is a big clue. If there is a correlation with rpm, that's another clue.
Pull the pan and check the bearings while your in there. Plastigage 'em. Maybe you'll find a clogged pickup but I wouldn't bet on it.
Depending on what you find, an option may be taller rotors in the oil pump (aka high volume pump). This might be in conjunction with different grade oil.
Trouble shooting an engine is a pretty good experience.
