Here's a before and after pics. I couldn't get the valve cover on with the full length column tube. I installed an aftermarket shifter, which was the plan anyways since the tube and shifter arm were cut off.

O wow it is close! Yep ill be doing away with the column shift, the holley engine mounts do bring the engine forward so i will be keen to see if i have gained much clearance just with that. When you cut the tube back is there any other mods you have to make because you have cut the tube back?
