Try Superformance Products gaskets. Specify for original maxwedge. 440 gaskets won't be big enough.
What size header tubing are you using? I have 2" hookers on my iron max heads. Mr Gaskets FOR MAX HEADS have worked fine for me for years. I don't recall the part#.
