SEAT TRACK QUESTION
this is a 67-69 track BUT I suspect that they are similar enough to what you have to shed some light
red is small springs that pull the locks in place
green is the wire that connects the two levers
blue is the hook on the back of the seat that the wire threads through so you can adjust one side to unlock the same as the other
these are in the LOCKED position
these are in the UNLOCKEDS position
Red is where the larger seat forward movement spring goes
These 2 pivots MUST be free to allow the levers to move OR the lock springs MIGHT not be strong enough to pull them back into the locked position.
LASTLY the wire that connects the left to right might be so tight that it is keeping the locks from locking.
This is the way the 66/67 seat tracks are hooked up
- the green is the wire that goes from the left track to the right track
- the red is the flat silver piece is attached to the wire (but it should be facing the other direction)
- the blue line shows where the end of the flat silver piece should be attached. The hook is adjustable to add or release tension on the silver piece to adjust how much tension is on the wire
