904 - too much clearance in rear clutch

Hi All -

I think I have learned that too little clearance in the rear (called “forward” I believe) clutch of a 904 will cause the vehicle to creep in neutral.

What does too much clearance do for that same rear clutch?

Too much clearance in rear clutch may cause the piston to travel too far and **** in the bore and cause clutch frictions to stay applied. Result would be no reverse or locked up trying to engage reverse
