I’m using that same AAW kit on my Australian RHD Valiant Hardtop and mounting it through the firewall just wasn’t an option so I made up a bracket to mount the fuse box under the dash by the steering column. Wire lengths are more than generous with this kit so I’d think this should afford you some flexibility if you’d like to explore this possibility.
