Here's what the conversion with the correct early A V8 pedal assembly looks like. My car had the slant 6 pedal and mechanism from the factory and I installed the early V8 pedal and mechanism. It took me all of 15 minutes to do. No measuring, no guesswork, no sloppy, messy, I'll fitting incorrect parts. I drilled two holes through two FACTORY indents already there. I didn't even have to center punch the holes. Cleaned the metal chips off and BOLTED the mechanism in place, stuck the cable in and connected it to the carburetor and drove down the road.
