Locate cable accelerator pedal in relation to single barrel linkage

OK, took another look and it's clear from the OP's pic of the engine compartment that he has a 64 or later. So yeah, it will have the dimples. Problem these days would be finding an original 64-66 V8 pedal setup. If not, the later swing pedal could be made to work.

As for the throttle and kickdown linkage, I used a factory two barrel setup, slightly modified to put the cable end at the right place for a four barrel, lengthened the kickdown flat rod by welding two halves together, and cut and welded the lower rod to the original 63 rod.

So:

As you can see, the throttle cable comes out of the firewall where the original throttle rod did. Most observers at a car show won't realize that none of this is original 63 throttle/kickdown stuff.
Thanks, and that’s what I thought about finding the original V8 pedal as in all of my searches for a V8 pedal I did not see any of the early model versions. So I was going to make this work and I appreciate your help, but as I said, not expecting to be able to find the original version pedal but here on the forum Rat Rod Al let me know he had the right one my second fear was going to be way too much money but instead He was very fair so of course as you read through the thread the best thing to do is to use the original part and now that it’s been found, that’s what I’m gonna do. Lol
