Yep, I've been saying for 10 years that the Dodgers are my team and I hate them for taking the Steinbrenner route to team building. Buying the best players because you can is bad for the game. But I can't undo something that's been part of me since the age of 3, so I'm still pulling for them on every pitch. Only after play stops can I look back and see the big picture.
I told you that when the Blue Jays were founded, my Grandpa became a fan. This was after 40+ years of following the Dodgers. We'd watch games together. I wish we could be enjoying this series together. No matter who wins, I won't be unhappy.
Crazy what the difference between 1919 and 2017 was. In 1919 all the cheaters were banned for life. In 2017 the players were given immunity for telling the truth. Just another instance in how the world has been turned upside down. So if Springer or Bergman or Altuve or Correa, et al (too late for Beltran) get one in the ear from a Dodger pitcher, it rights things a bit.
