Thankless for help

Google maps! LOL!

A little side story on that: Our address ends in "NW" (as in 1234 Oak Street NW), but we live SE of town, as the North/South/East/West divide is NOT based on our little town, but somewhere else.

But Google thinks it is, and every damn time I give someone our address I have to ask them, "Are you using an iPhone or an Android?" If they're using an iPhone they're good to go. But if they're using an Android, I have to tell 'em to drop the "NW" in the address, otherwise Google will send to the wrong side of town.

And it gets even better: Everyone, and I mean everyone I've talked to about this has sent an email, a note, or some sort of heads-up to Google about their "f-up", but have they (Google) changed things? Nope. And I've heard, but I haven't been able to confirm, that even our City Council sent Google some sort of heads-up, but to no avail.

(Google certainly has their "head-up...", that's for sure!)

The neighbor to the NE of me says, "Google doesn't make mistakes, don't you know that by now?"
I've had that same experience in more than one other place. In one instance my wife and I were going to a smaller town in Saskatchewan to pick up a garden statue that she bought off marketplace, she had googled the address, and printed the map, plus I used my phone to do the same, we both had the exact same location, but it was off by about 5 miles! I stopped and asked a local for directions to no avail, then finally my wife called the seller to get the proper directions. Talk about a cluster f*ck!
