Thanks for the help. Intermittent automatic transmission sometimes it wont move in any gear.

The converter was not changed, they simply knocked off the weight after the engine was installed. We were told that had to happen.

Yes, BUT if the removed the converter and then reinstalled it, there's always the possibility they didn't reinstall it correctly. They didn't know how to check the fluid either. Let's hope it's not the converter installed wrong. That would be a mess.
