Much appreciated. Seems reasonable. I'm gunna see if a local converter shop can take a look at this one and give me their opinion if it's worth saving or if I'm a crybaby. Will see how Hughes feels too.
Another thing, they decided to go from a 10" to 11" stator, no explanation given. My guess is they burned through more than just the case when the weld went sideways. The length of the burn through tells me nobody was watching. Man I burn through 1/4" of a weld and I stop! These burn throughs are 1/4 way around the converter.
