What to do with my Scamp?

I got the motor. She is looking good.
Hey, there is a rebuilt 727 trans near me, that is supposedly ordered from Ma Mopar in the 80s for some guys 73 charger but never installed, yadda yadda. It has a complete Mopar “retrofit kit” and a brand new driveshaft. All new parts from Mopar, linkage, dust shield, etc. Guy says he’s sell for $850. Thing is, it’s a lockup trans. It’s the closest trans I can find for my swap. No torque converter, will have to source one. Thoughts?
By the way, the car will just be a fun cruiser, not a race car or anything like that.
