Brainstormin' 440 vs 5.9 ...

Never have had that problem here. I don't have to worry about bending mine either.

I also love the cam plate, no button nonsense for a roller cam.

Maybe, with a bigger bore..?

With good deck and head surfaces 4 is just fine on a small block. Gen 3s and LSs will handle a bunch of boost fine with 4. For that matter, early Hemis did pretty darn good in Top Fuel with 4 . My 11.6:1 small block is fine with 4 bolts.

That it is, but I dislike the rear main seal setup. 5,2, 5.9 Magnums have a 1 piece pan gasket.

You got me on the dry intake, even better with a solid valley pan instead of the tin ones, I don't care for them.
With W7 , W8 , W9 intakes, a small block has the same benefits. In a few years I will update my sb in my truck, I already have the block done, and W7 heads are waiting..

Give a guy all the cubes they want, 440 or 512... I wouldn't want to line up against a Mopar Sam small block.
