A degree wheel and a dial indicator will get you in the ballpark when you get the crank back. If you are just interested in the gross valve lift. Two V blocks and a dial indicator will do that on a bench. Put the pointer on the nose of the lobe and zero the indicator. Then turn the cam so the pointer is on the base circle. Remember to multiple that by your rocker ratio. Now the v’s need to take into consideration the different cam journal sizes. These would be rough numbers.
