Hi New Member here Randy Berger

Hi everyone I’m excited to have finally got a car I’ve wanted for decades - a 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger 340. Taking possession next week so I get to see whether it’s great the way it is or asking me for upgrades. It already has power steering and modern vintage AC which were first priority. I’m told my plan to replace the Edelbrock carburetor (supposedly terrible) with EFI is ill conceived. Because the bolt ons don’t work well without the extra sensors that come with modern car EFI. I am going to set aside the factory hood to replace with one that’s without scoops and pins. Frame connectors and maybe a Tremec 6-speed? Wanting a low RPM highway drive. I was also recently advised that a Tremec swap is preferable to replacing the axle gear because the latter is still involved and costly. My seller has the understanding that this car had a Torqueflight from the factory but if true the Mecum listing in 2018 left that out.
Glad to have found this forum!
