It really was part of her name...lol. My grandma gave some odd names to the kids. My Mom was born on Easter Sunday, Grandma named her Delma Easter. As fate would have it, my Dads last name is/was West.....so when she got married, her name Was Easter West. She got a lot of ribbing over that when she would introduce herself....people would ask "Well, which one is it? East or West?" She hated her first name of Delma and refused to use it. She had a pretty good sense of humor, so the kidding over East or West never bothered her. My Mom and all of her siblings were born in the 19teens and 1920's, so that may explain some of the names that seem odd now...lol
