Heads for 440
The flow was better when Jeff was doing them.
I’ve only had one of those here…..years ago.
I wanna say the big number was like 312 on my bench.
The step in between ootb and cnc is……..ootb, but with the seats redone, a small back cut on the intake valve, and the bowls blended, which yields:
28” test pressure, 4.375” bore-
Lift——— I/E
.100——72/57
.200—-147/118
.300—-212/142
.400—-250/173
.500—-273/195
.550—-278/204
.600—-279/207
.650—-278/215
Looking at these numbers, and I’d have to find results from other heads to confirm, but the exhaust looks a little above avg for that level of work(going from memory).
Edit- checking back thru my notes, looks like the intake flow often gets in the 280-283cfm range, and the exhaust is usually more like 200-205.
Whittling down the intake guide boss and opening up/smoothing over the pinch to 1.125” will get about another 10cfm(290-ish).
