Well, you were an a-hole for your opinion. Your first post was completely disrespectful to the OP and his father, and there was no reason for it. You could have maintained your opinion that he didn't have the budget and shouldn't start the project without mentioning anything less than a "premium build" not being good enough to honor his father.
It's funny that people blame entitlement on the younger generations, because clearly as an older gentlemen you think your ability to have an opinion doesn't mean that you can't also be a disrespectful *** for having the one you have, or stating it the way that you did.
It may be hard for you to understand but the bloke just had a difference of opinion not everyone has to be the same. You literally ripped into him about his dad lol. Do you read what you write. I get what he is saying do it once do it right or not at all. I mean come on a chrome bumper roller is a roller for a reason it wasn't worth getting running or going to cost too much, most likely rust and clapped out driveline. Going to need four k just to get it running safely and replacing all the parts most likely missing. Yea there are plenty of trailer queens sitting about not finished..... for every trailer queen there is ten rusty roller projects with out the budget that never seen the light of day. Most blokes saying they building a car to honour their dad or family simply using it as an excuse to get it past the misus lol.

did read my post, I meant every word I said, and what it is posted here is the toned down version. Dude was being completely disrespectful, and it's not the first time either. Perhaps I should have tried to take the high road and not mentioned his father as well, but I did the best I could, I'm not perfect and as someone who has lost my father as well I wasn't going to let him slide with that bullshit. He could have taken the high road too, and he went even lower.
Why not? I submit for approval one of the best looking cars on FABO.

He's still mad that I called him out on his chicken wire, fiberglass and bondo con-job quarter panel repair as not being "preservation" like he claims, or that a "no-weld" condition is a silly thing to put on a car that needs legitimate rust repair. So he's trying to poke at me for my car being two different colors for the last 11 or 12 years while I've been driving it all the time.
