High torque starter is recommended. I have one on my and it spins that engine over real nice
The only time I’ve ever had a problem with the starter is when I had 12.4 to 1 pistons in it. Chrysler starters of those years are geared. If you don’t have to run aviation fuel then a good brand name starter will do for many years. Do you have an inspection pan or plate. It is good to check drive alignment with flywheel. Can be corrected with washers. Usually not an issue but have seen.
