Cleaning Automotive Glass

Microfiber cloths and Invisible glass generally work very well for me, not sure what else to suggest.
Totally agree. Invisible Glass is good stuff.
A body shop guy suggested rubbing compound. I have never tried it. Kim
Here is what I do. I use glass cleaner and a good microfiber cloth to get as much dirt off as possible. Then I use a clay bar. Your glass gets just as many contaminants on it as your paint does. If any of you guys have never used a clay bar, go buy one. You need a lubricant for it you will use a detail spray. Maguires and mothers both sell a Clay bar kit that includes a clay bar and a 16 ounce bottle of spray detailer.
Anyway, after clay barring, the glass will be as smooth as a baby's butt. Then clean again with a fresh microfiber towel.
I have used polishing compound in the past. It will also get the contaminants off the glass and leave it smooth. However, since I started using clay bars (about 20 years ago), I just stick with them.
