Is there a list of option codes that don't get stamped on a fender tag?
There's a member here that's making 3d printed fender tags and novelty tags. At a glance they're passable but obviously they're a plastic material so there's no mistaking them for an original.
Ya, on a high dollar car I wouldn't even buy the car if it had a repro tag, unless there was substantial info to back up the tag (ie: build sheet, inspection report from a reputable Mopar pro, old rusted tag, original window sticker, etc.), but on a slant six base Demon dragged out of a junkyard, believe me, nobody gives a rip.
I'm not having the tag made to increase the car value, or to add options it never had, or to fool the public, or to impress anybody; I'm only having it made to put the car back to (mostly) original, and fully correct condition.
Based on a bunch of slant '71 Demon tags I've been researching, I have 99% of the tag correct as it came from the Hamtranck factory; there are just a few smaller options that I'm working to confirm (in the first post above) before pulling the trigger on a new tag. And even those are pretty much confirmed on or off (I'm thinking they were all off) the tag. The only one that is really confusing is the wheel covers (and accompanying correct wheel color), but that's another thread...
