Trunk Torsion Bars

It's hard to tell but the slot closest to the hinge pivot pin might be too low, but it could be the the angle of the photos.

Have you removed the tortion bars before?

I'm not sure if it's possible but maybe they got put back in on the wrong side.

If you lay them on a flat surface they are mirror images of each other

It's not hard, prop the lid up and release the tension on the springs then shift them to one side then unhook it from the support. Then work it out
