Top of pin plus 1/2 of a chev pin diameter (.927") is, 1.327+ .4635 = 1.7905 for piston height. 1/2 (318 stroke is 1.655). 1.655 + 1.7905 + 6.125= 9.570 assuming no crank off-set going to the chev journal size, this puts the combo about 30 thou below unshaven stock deck height.
