Current Chinese EQ Heads. Ports or mounting holes in wrong location? Pics here.

I have a set of the Speedmaster version with Magnum bolt holes. A short while back after the last thread about this I mocked them up on a block I have and tried different LA intakes and Magnum intakes on them. The intakes were just set in place, completely ignoring the intake bolt holes and only checking general port alignment. Each intake had a different port alignment. The M1 single plane, if I recall correctly, had the best alignment of each one I tried, which means all of the intakes were a little different.

I went back and read through the old thread where we posted about this. I don't see where you posted any measurements from your heads. So, lay a straight steel rule along the deck surface of the head running under the intake ports. On a factory Magnum head the bottom of the intake port casting does not go all way down to the deck surface, so a straight edge long enough to span the head is required. Now, measure from the deck surface (the edge of the steel rule) to the bottom inside edge of the intake port. We can compare those measurements to factory Magnum heads to see how far they are off.

Here is pictures of this on a factory Magnum head. First picture is with factory Magnum intake gasket still in place just as it was when the head was removed from the engine. Second picture is the steel rule I used. Third picture is the measurement.
