The tab on my printed part is same length as the stock ones I have, the hole in the sheet metal is large enough that it does not fix the location of the vent. I would assume that the factory package tray has slots to locate the vent. If the long tab is oriented as you show then the vents point the direction I assumed they would (see picture below). The package tray doesn't have any locating slots either. I think how you show them located is correct.
I didn't message you in Facebook, at least I don't think I did. However, my originals were blue. If they could be printed in a blue that was close to original that would be great. If not I'd paint them the shade of blue that I wanted, assuming they were printed with a material that can be painted
