glide vs, 904...bench racing
I use a TF904 done by Keith Long @ The 727 specialist. It's got everything rollerized, billet drums, input and output shafts, His pro brake that will leave in first or second on the brake. If we are at a really bad track we just leave in second. But we rarely race at a bad track. Allegedly it takes 12 hp to turn a powerglide and 14 hp to turn a 904. There's a small difference in the weight. We shift on time and our car has run 14 3.72's at 330ft in a row before. I like the way it leaves, runs and sounds with the 904. I can't imagine ever switching to a powerglide.
