Upper Ball Joint Question

Question on this ball joint debate since it seems like there is a lot of knowledge here. I can’t seem to find anyone asking about a large ball joint upper with the 9” brake spindle.

Long story short, I’m looking at a full front end off a ‘74 car for my ‘69 and the price is too good to pass up. I already have a Wilwood kit for my 9” spindles installed and I don’t want to have to purchase new hubs for them to fit a larger spindle. I’m under the impression the top ball joint hole is tapered? So I cannot just drill out the hole to a larger diameter to accommodate the larger ball joint on the later upper arms, correct?
