That's how it's pushed through, as safety equipment, because who can refuse to support better safety standards. The part they aren't talking about is what else it can be used for.
I fully expect all vehicles to have some form of blow box in them as well one day, the driver would have to blow into and prove their sobriety before the car will start. All in the name of safety of course
