Indy swap meet.
I am/was an airplane guy, went to Oshkosh every year. Was building an airplane, started in '93, finished '02. The fly market at Oshkosh was really something for scroungers, bought a lot of things. They have priced spots out of the universe. Last time I was there, 2 years ago, I think that there were 2 spots with actual used aircraft stuff, except for the consignment tent. New vendors are in the A B C D bldgs, but they have had vacancy for years. The rest, and there are very FEW were pots and pans, sunglasses and you fill in the blank, non aviation. The EAA has their dirty little fingers into everything. I was a volunteer there for years, finally, the more you know, made me just get the hell away from it. Could no longer stand the millionaires and their GD attitudes towards most everyone else. Rules and guidelines for you, but not for them, because if you tell them no or piss them off, they pull their pants up and go home.
This may not be the same here, but there are similarities. Sorry for the rant.
