The skirted block can't be widened.
If the pan mount is even with the crank centerline, the pan side can be kicked out a couple inches for full length, even with a sump.
EM did a comparison between a boat-style full length pan on a 800hp chevy
(roughly $600 pan) and an outrageously expensive Moroso two piece pan. ($1800, now)
The mo brothers pan made about 25 hp more than an already great pan. Real hard to get, at an $800 threshold.
