Never heard of this. Fact or Fiction?

That entire article smells like horse-pucky.
No pix, except the ONE showing an obviously modded vehicle.... anyone who owned such a museum piece would never change a thing on it. The article states that custom brackets etc. had to be made, then states that couldnt be done "for production". Well, if the factory did it once, then they can do it for production, as everything is already in place to do so. Not one shred of documentation or fender tag even mentioned.
