SOLVED! 318 2500-3000 rpm idling issue. Don't think its a regular vacuum leak. Swapped 2 intakes, 2 carbs ,and 6 different gaskets still no luck.

Your suggestions in post #55 do not cause the engine to idle at 2500+ rpm. The engine needs MORE AIR to idle. A late closing ICL means the cam is installed in the retarded position, & at low rpm, more air will pushed out past the late closing int valve leaving less air to be compressed to make hp. Lower or same idle rpm, not higher.
