Well she is finally here. Going to pressure wash today and get the animal leftovers out. Not sure where to go after that?

OK. I prefer the Carter clones or the Autolite 4100 clone for square bore intakes over the Holley 1850 clones...lotsa little reasons but both because they don't have gaskets below the fuel level and the carter afb clones also have no power valve...so that's 1st choice for me...but carbs are like a lot of things and will get folks triggered real quick.

Spreadbore is a whole other can of worms...quick and easy to get is a Qjet clone.

Same caveats from my previous post on carbs apply for the above suggestions, unless you have a specific plan and KNOW the carb you want -- then have at it. From what i have seen 4bbl china junk is about 2x the BBD price, but I have zero first hand knowledge to offer on the quality, etc of the 4bbl stuff.

Also, if you have a carter clone in the trunk or something, that's one to learn how to rebuild on -- easiest 4bbl, IMO.

I would run out to the JY and grab a starter. Once you get a starter, clean the points and make sure they are opening as the motor turns over. Then hook up a spark plug to the coil wire and crank the engine...you should get fire at the plug. If you do, then start thinking fuel. JMO.
