Thermoquad help

These carbs have two o rings in the primaries fuel cct. They have most likely dried out/failed from years of use/sitting. Could also be trash/failed needles & seats. Get an o'haul kit, which has the reqd parts. The carb is not original, not used in 1970, so check the model#; it will be a 4 digit number,, stamped on one of the mounting feet, beginning with a 4, 6 or 9. Kits are different, so check the #.

Also check the Air Valve dashpot, mounted rear of carb, pass side. The rubber inside fails over time. Remove the hose. Push in plunger & release. It should spring back fairly quickly; slow, or doesn't move, it has failed.
