I’m sure you meant well with this response but it isn’t totally clear.
The aftermarket may sell a gasket that
technically fits all models but my question is
Was the same design used and installed from the 1970 models to the last one built in 1976?
If you think that they did, you may be right. For now, it isn’t known but a part number search would sure help.
The car I am working on is a 1972 model. It has a built in folding flap/lock strip along the bottom ONLY.

The separate locking strip fills the groove on the top section of the gasket, the sides and a couple inches along the bottom, butting into the folding flap. Aftermarket gaskets seem to use the separate locking strip the whole way around the gasket.
