Are all Duster windshield gaskets the same ?
What the factory used and what is available is often not the same.
I’m getting a Lawyer/Politician vibe from you, man. I can’t get anything specific.
Clearly this question is outside the knowledge of the members here, myself included.
We all can respond with non committal words like
should, maybe, sometimes and
not always but that does not answer the question directly. Here is an example:
Most of us know that ALL B bodies came with the 4.5” wheel bolt circle. Do ALL A bodies have the same 4.5” hub?
Some, not ALL.
The answer to the A body query is non specific, like GDonovans words here.
I’m aware that reproduction parts often are different from OEM parts and while mentioning that fact was appreciated, it does not address the original question. I’m going to have to guess after seeing three somewhat original cars with identical gaskets that these were what was used at least from 71-76 since I have cars of those years here to inspect.
I’ll be buying a new gasket since I went ahead and cut the old one to get the glass out without breaking it.
