I'll be there but I will probably not bring my car. It's not quite ready for travel even on the trailer. Unless by some miracle I get get her pieced together enough for "in progress" considerations.

We're coming down with two cars (on trailers) for the car corral. BTW: Fall Fling crept up real quick this year but can we still get a space to put a tent up to have the list members meet at for Spring Fling?

I should be there with the Duster. I have a 10x20 ez up tent that we could use "for A Bodies only members" Hope to meet some members this time since I didn't get to at Spring Fling. Plus this will be the last show for my Duster for a while as she is gonna get some needed repairs & updating(sunroof going byebye). See you guys & gals at the show, Russell

Are you going to put them in the swap meet or the car show?

If you put them in the swap you could leave them on the trailer. BUT you'd have to buy two swap spots. The first 20' length of swap space is $30, then between 20' and 40' in length is another $30.

OR you could unload the cars in the trailer parking.

You CANNOT unload or detach you trailer in your swap spot.

OR you could unload the cars in the trailer parking and drive them over to the show parking

If someone gets a swap space you could put up a tent there and all the FABO members could meet there.

Steve,

I was not initially concerned with our cars/trailers but wanted to take you up on a previous offer for a spot by the picnic benches or to the rear of there for members of several clubs (ie. FABO, BBD, MML, Moparts, BOG, etc.) to meet up. Do we have to buy a spot now just to have a common meeting place?

Also, since you mentioned pricing for cars being brought to sell (in the swap/car corral area), if these two cars I mentioned earlier do not run and are on trailers, I would have to buy four spots ($120) for the trailers and my tow vehicles? I am sure there is a reason for not allowing people to detach their trailers (perhaps to keep the flow of swappers smooth) but would a possible solution be to have trailered vehicles that are for sale start in one of the back rows while the swappers fill in smoothly from the front? This way, we can detach quickly and get out of there. Food for thought. Anyway, please let me know if this is set in stone so we can adjust the plans if need be.

Thanks and look forward to a good show.

I will be there in my White 66. I am bringing it to the Show section. I look forward to meeting the FABO folks!

Thanks,
Clint

I just can't have tents in the show area. The wind kicks up and it will damage cars and hurt people.

If FABO wants to bring a tent and have a 10x10 spot for just the club meeting space I can do that. Just no parts for sale in it. I need someone from FABO to coordinate it and set it up.

OR some of you could drive in together (or close together) in line and setup a picnic area behind the cars. Just no tents in the show area. There's lots of trees anyway and it's November. I don't think a tent is really necessary. But trying to give you guys options.

We park swap swap first come first served nose to tail. That way we can get all the 150+ swapper 3/4 mile long line parked between 7:00am and 7:45am or so. We need to park all the swap quickly and smoothly because:

-it allows a Fair Chance swap meet that regular people that actually own the cars can get first chance on the used parts to put on thiercars. If you have a separate setup day to jockey trailers and cars, all the "resellers" and professional part flippers will get all the parts and regular owners of the cars will not get a chance at them.

-we try to emphasize the car owners getting parts to keep their cars going. And since we only charge half of what other major event charge for swap spots we bring out lots of regular guys selling their extras.

-you don't have to wait in a long line

-we don't need a swap setup day on Friday that club volunteers have to take days off of work to set up.

We've done “the unload the trailer” in the spot deal before at a back row and it doesn't work. We fill so fast by the time you unload a car off a trailer there's swappers already filling behind you.

Email me and we’ll figure something out.

Hey Steve,

As said before, you know I will be at the cruise on Friday in the Duster. Spreading the word as much as I possibly can. I can't wait. Let me know if you need any other help with anything regarding it. I enjoyed speaking with you the other evening at Flames and look forward to cruising again.

And of course I wil be at the Fling. I am not going to order tickets beforehand this time, so I will buy at the door. $25 on the day of the show at the gate, right, or is it $30?

I will have the Duster and the Cuda at the Fling.....

Oh yeah, I just remembered.....my dad may bail out of work on Friday, so the Cuda will also be in the cruise as well, with either my girlfreind driving it or my father.

Can't wait......will be talking to you before then......

-Justin

I'll be at the show.

Might bring my 408 Duster.

Friday Malibu Beach Cruise list:

Dartforte -71 Charger
Ponch
Calimoparguy -67? convertible
Migsbig
NASBackyard -69 RR
Justin Phillips - 73 Duster
Justin Phillips' Girlfriend -69 Barracuda "S"

There's a bunch of others I don't know names of. Some from the LX list.

Who else here is coming? It's really a neat drive.

Steve,

Prior to Spring Fling '08 rolling around, we will figure out the tent/meeting place logistics. As far as the trailers/tow vehicles go, I think we have a solution to that so no worries. I hope Steve & Stacey E. are going to be at the show this year. Do you know if they will be there helping out?

Hope to see you and your Dart Doug. I still have your number.

I can't bring my car but I will be at the Spring Fling for sure.

I will be in the "spectator" parking; driving down my '75 white Swinger that I just peeled off the old vinyl roof today.

Will be wearing a red "Continental Grain" cap, with a blue "SOS" t-shirt and gray Carhart hooded sweatshirt.

My name is Kevin.

I am excited. Hoping to find the interior trim I need, other random parts I need, and would love to find a a833od setup too.

I'm stoked!!! If I get there about 8:30am should I be good with parking, and will there still be stuff in the swap area? :)

You need to get there by 7:00am to get the good crack at the parts.

Swap meeters are first let in at 7:00 am. For the deals you need to be there when they are coming into the spots. Many get there before 7am and walk the line of swapper that are parked in line waiting to get in.

Also at that time you'll get better parking. You need to park in the parking lot across the street. There will be signs. We will not be charging the $5 for parking at this Fall Fling as listed on this map below. Use the underground tunnel to cross Woodley Ave from the parking area.

There is NO PARKING along Woodley Ave ON BOTH SIDES on the curbed areas in front of the show. LAPD enforced.

There was an all makes Cruise In at the location listed below on Friday night.
