hey FABO guys...
i think there is something (pardon the pun) fishy about this guy and this car. i asked him if his car was the one on ebay and he got all defensive. so i apologized to him. but he has yet to put up any pictures of this car ... only a list of parts. anyone with a minimum of knowledge can post a list of parts. and it makes no sense how defensive he is about this car and the clear inconsistencies in his ads ... and especially how his price changes every time he posts a comment.

i was interested in this car at the $3800.00 price... but on second thoughts... i think i'm going to stay away from this deal. i've already had to sue two people over problems with them on ebay.... if something doesn't seem just right, better to pass it by.

ya the part list that is on ebay is the one thats on here so if u talk to the guy on ebay first maybe you will find out

FYI to FABO guys... here is the subject vehicle as it appears on ebay as of november 17, 2007:

This is the last line of ph23vo's ad posted on FABO on 11-15-07:

"all glass local only [seattle] will sell entire car number matching for 4200.00 will deliver free in washington state 253 852 6618 eves"

This is the last line of the list of parts for the above noted car currently listed on Ebay:

"all glass local only [seattle] will sell entire car number matching for 4200.00 will deliver free in washington state 253 852 6618 eves"

I think the mystery is solved as to why ph23vo doesn't want to provide more information to the FABO community in regards to this car.

All of your posts refer to selling this car. I hope we can entice you into contributing to the site, just out of pure interest for A-bodies. I have little faith that you will.

I know we shouldn't reply too much to a thread in the Classifieds, that's what email and PM's are for, but...............

How much can you trust a guy whose only posts are about selling his car? (Gee, ya beat me to it)

Not one single post either giving or asking advise or help. Or even a comment.

Sure, this site is probably the perfect spot to sell a car like this one. But the attitude and price, coupled with an iffy car. Yes it has potential, but that car is rough.

And to add up the asking price for the parts is over $6K:-k.

Sorry Don, but too much for me.

i sure dont know where you got the idea the car was ever wrecked?? sorry never been wrecked... so your saying if you had a 340 4 speed car complete little to no rust you,d sell it for 1000.00??? the engine isworth 1200.00 easy all by itself... see list below and tell me why i shouldnt junk it... or step and buy it whole and then you can sell it on ebay for 1000.00...

Saying all that is like saying you should get more money for the ham sandwich you are selling because it has ham in it!!!!

Like it or not a car is expectd to have all the crap that yours does and the value of a car is usually dependant on the condition of the body. A clapped out body with some parts included is only worth 1-2k at the most. Get real, and do someone who want to get into collecting and restoring a chance and sell this car for cheap. After all is going to cost 20 grand or more just to ge the body done. Then another 15-20k to do the rest!! Bringing the total including purchase price to 37-42 thousand dollars!!! I can by a 66 Hemi car for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry but this is merely your OPINION!.. the car is complete except for a few minor item so to say a "clapped out body with a FEW parts" is a GROSS understatement on your part... so a dented up body is grounds for selling it EXTRA cheap? dents can be hammered out? the car needs NO REPLACEMENT panels...try that with an east coast car... you go out and find even a 318 69 barracuda in the shape YOU "think" it should be for 4K ... good luck.. as i said you can buy mine for 4k and sell it to a NEWBY in the hobby for 1k if you like dan

dear ph23vo...
your post has generated a lot of discussion. obviously you can do anything you want with your car and believe whatever you want and try to sell your car for whatever you can get. perhaps prices for mopars on the "left coast" of california are much higher than here in pennsylvania, new york and "the south." i have posted a picture of your car on this site and everyone can look at it and make their own judgements about what it is worth. but here are some concrete factual examples of the current prices for 68-69 cuda's:

this 69 340 4 speed cuda was also an "export" car and was in up-state new york. i could have bought it for $15k:

the purple 68 340 4 speed car i paid $10k for and the gold 69 383 4 speed car i paid $14k ... both drove on to and off of the car carriers and i drove them around pittsburgh as soon as i got the plates.

anyway you look at it, your car is a basket case that needs tons of work. for a few thousand dollars more, you can still buy a 67-69 cuda here on the east coast that you can drive while you are restoring it.

i'm pretty sure this is the last comment i'm going to offer on this particular posting...
