10.90s WITH A STREET 416

md .... 4100 lbs ??... !! ...where is all the weight in that car ? ... they are about the size of an A body ! .. but TRUE -- with alot more "fluff".

And Eddy SM intake ? ... that is with the plenum that severely necks-down ? ..... and then with a TQ carb !! ... wouldn't a Performer been better?

The reason why I and him are thinking SB ... because everything would "fit" better. Like headers and the like. PLUS you can use that 904 trans with the low gear set.

The scales don't lie! 4100 w/driver, I weigh 275LBS, still no light weight. I may have added a little more weight by adding the 8 1/4 over the 7 1/4, cop rear springs & both sway bars. This car was a 1987 with every option for a 5TH. They are a little larger than the A-body. I stand corrected on the intake, it did have a Eldo. Performer on it. The 999 w/2.74 lo gear trans I used is the HD version of the 904. I also used a stock convertor. The 4-door stuff seems to be heavier than the 2-doors. I also had a 1973 4-door valiant that weighed 3500LBS with me in it. My current 1973 Dart Sport only weighs 3290 w/driver. I think part of the extra weight is in the 2 other doors. You might look at a base Diplomat or Aspen for less weight. I still vote for the 440!
