Lets see your rear defogger/speaker adapter

Those look fabbed by someone other than the factory. 7075 QQ-A-250 Alclad is an aircraft quality aluminum high strength alloy and would be very expensive and that kind of strength would not be needed in a speaker application. That material is usually used in aircraft wings and structures. 7075 is also not to be used in welded applications so I don't think the factory would have used 7075 because the engineers would have known that it isn't supposed to be welded. I worked at Boeing for a couple years and scraps of that stuff was everywere. A past owner must have worked around that stuff and used some scraps to make those.

It is a great idea, I was wanting to put dual speakers in my wifes Swinger that has a rear defogger and couldn't figure how to do it. Looks like I need to make some boxes.

I realize anything is possible from the factory but I don't think it is probable.
