anyone know this guy?

I have been around NHRA my whole life, I was born into it because my father was Division Six tech director in the 60's and have found one thing that is usually true. A lot of guys that run Stock Eliminator get all worked up when someone mentions that the car is not "stock". There has been a couple of cases here. My mother used to CC the heads on teardown to help my father and she got called all kinds of names because she was a "woman". Most were flat mean when they first meet her. Anyway...

Stock Eliminator cars are phenomenal race cars but ease up a bit, you turn what is an awsome feat into people don't want to be around you because you are they way you are. It also shows people what kind of person someone is when they beat up on someones car and their intellect buy mentioning they are basically a moron because there "stroker" doesn't run as well as a "stocker". I have had this happen before and I could really care less that my motor only cost me $3,000 and runs low 11's. I don't have the money to build a $15,000 11 second "stocker".

Maybe "Stock Eliminator" people are better motor and car people than they are people people. Then again maybe it is just a select few that need to work on their manners and be a little less "short fused". I,m thinking it is the select few.

"Stock" is in the eye of the beholder.
