First off some specs about my car.

1968 Barracuda coupe(3200lbs)
mild 440 - 350 -400 approx HP (plan on improving next year)
4-speed (stock 833)
Lakewood Bellhousing, Centerforce Dual friction 10 1/2 clutch & pressure plate
TTI 2" headers (with cutouts)
Moser Dana 60 4:30 gears (seems to be right selection according to what everyone else is running)

My question is what is the difference between a flywheel with 130 teeth vs 143 teeth in my setup?

Suggestions welcomed

Thanks

Gary

A 10 1/2 inch flywheel has 130 teeth, while a 11 inch flywheel has 143 teeth. Sounds like yours has 130 teeth, which is quite ok in your car, with that clutch. It probably is better, since there is less rotating weight, which equates to easier shifting.

I think that is a minimal concern, weight, but parts availabilty and price is the other side to it all.
I have the smaller more popular flywheel in my Cuda 360 and is combined with a Centerforce dual friction clutch. I have no problems with holding power. Not that it's a monster 360. Under 450 HP I think.

The position of the starter differ between them.
On my aftermarket bellhousing I`ve got two alternative for the starter.
