guess my cam specs
I ordered a custom ground cam today for my 416 stroker buildup from Scott Brown at
http://www.straightline-perf.com/. Wanna take a crack at guessing the specs? :D
Here's the pertinent data:
- 340 block bored and stroked to 416ci
Eddlebrock RPM heads, untouched out of the box
Eagle 6.123" H-beam rods
Ross forged pistons, 21cc dish
Block milled for zero deck height.
Felpro .039" head gasket
Calculated static compression ratio approx 10.2:1
Eddlebrock TM5 single plane intake manifold, slightly modified
carb... well, there ain't gonna be one! (shhh, it's a secret right now)
Doug's 1-5/8" primary full-length headers
2-1/2" dual exhaust with cutouts followed by H-pipe, turbo muffs, and turndowns in front of the axle.
manual transmission with 2.87:1 first gear
8-3/4 rear with 3.23:1 gears
26" tall tires
Estimated weight is 3500-3700 lbs.
Oh yeah, the car WILL have a/c, power brakes and power steering.
Okay, so what did I ask for? I want a flat tappet hydraulic cam (lowest cost and maintenance). It is for a street car, so I want mild manners that will work with my power accessories. I also want decent 1/4 mile performance, with a target e.t. in the low 12's.
So what do ya think he came up with?? Give me a guess for duration at .050 and max lift with 1.5 rockers on both the intake and exhaust lobes. Also the lobe seperation. Whoever gets the closest gets noogies. :goodman:
(No cheating, I'll know if you call Scott and ask him. )
