ld 340 height ?

anybody know how much taller this intake is compared to stock 340 intake? thanks

I have one on my 360. can't tell ya for sure, but it's close to stock height

I'll measure both of them up. I have both on a shelf right now.

OK, Manifold heights...with pictures even. LOL!

1st picture, The set up. The intake is a '79-ish or so T-Q. On top, I put my level, a Aluminum I beamed, straight as is gets. I figured some might like to know what the stock 4bbl height is. I do not have a 2bbl to measure.

These heights of the stock intakes should be known as to compare to the new intake manifold so you know what you could be in for as far as clearance is concerned. Edelbrock doesn't surpply that info due to various height intakes through out the years.

If someone local has a 2bbl. intake for me to measure.......stop on by with it. It'll take 10 min.s.
Anybody else that can do this, add it on.

2nd picture; I had a wood ruler on hand. Theres a minor problem with this. At the bottom, the inch does not begin. Look close. Get a tape measue.

Picture 3, Just the LD-340 on top. (Freshly glass beeded! Woo - Hoo! )

OH, Heights!

Stock intake,..... 5 inch at the rear, 4-1/16 at the front.
LD-340 intake,... 5-1/2 at the rear, and 4-5/8 at the front.
