Check the nuts that complete the circuit on the back of the cluster ( the ones for the temp gauge)--they are probably somewhat loose. Take them off, clean, and retorque. Seen it more than once.
I agree with 5.7 Dart. While the cluster is off do the lamp pads and fuel gage too. I recommend removing one nut clean the copper pad, replace nut and then do the other.
